Hadia is our Office Administrator and Research Associate and your first point of contact at the Bone Research and Education Center. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelors in Science, with a minor in Biomedical Communications. She is passionate about healthcare, administration, as well as providing a welcoming patient experience.

Emmett Morgante
Administration & Research Associate
Emmett is our Office Administrator and Research Associate. He is completing his Bachelors in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. He is passionate about healthcare, exercise, and patient education
Research Staff

Salman Iqbal
BSc, MSc, Clinical Research Director
Salman is the Director of clinical research at the Bone Research and Education and is responsible for overseeing the research program. He holds a Bachelor’s in Life Sciences as well as a Master’s in eHealth from McMaster University. Salman’s research interests include health informatics, clinical research methodology, and biostatistics.

Dr. Jouma Malhem
MD, Research Pathologist

Dr. Shehryar Mehmood
MBBS, MD, MPH, Research Physician
Dr. Shehryar Mehmood is a Clinical Research Physician at Bone Research and Education Center and is participating in various clinical trials and research projects. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the Dow Medical College. Dr. Mehmood also completed a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Manchester. He has a great interest in metabolic bone disease as well as the evaluation and treatment of parathyroid disease.

Iman M'hiri
BSc, MSc, Clinical Research Associate, Executive Assistant, Director of Patient Education
Iman is a clinical researcher and executive assistant to Dr Aliya Khan. She completed her Master of Science in Molecular Physiology at the University of Waterloo. Iman has over 8yrs of research experience in the areas of aging, DNA and protein analysis, metabolic disorders, genetics, and environmental toxicology. In 2018, she received the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA) Most Innovative Research Award for her graduate research.
Iman also serves as the Director of Patient Education at the Bone Research and Education Centre. In addition to developing patient education materials for the BREC, Iman also assists in the planning of continuing medical education (CME) programs in partnership with McMaster University.

Hajar Abu Alrob
BSc, MSc, PhD, Clinical Research Consultant
Hajar is a consultant clinical researcher at the Bone Research and Education Centre. She completed her MSc in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University and has completed her PhD. She has over 8 years of clinical research experience in metabolic bone diseases. Hajar’s research interests are in bone diseases and geriatrics, randomized clinical trials, observational studies and systematic reviews.
M.A. Majeed Khan
BA (Economics), B.Comm. Hons, CFP, CFO, Business Manager
Majeed specializes in Finance and Business Management, and he oversees the business operations of the Centre.

Allison Mago
Registered Nurse
Alison Mago is a registered nurse highly experienced in intravenous drug administration and provides the intravenous infusion of osteoporosis therapies at the BREC.

Christina (Tina) Ziebart
R. Kin, PhD(c)
Tina Ziebart is a BoneFit™ Trained exercise professional. She graduated her undergraduate and master’s from the University of Waterloo in Kinesiology. She is currently working on her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences in a combined physical therapy program at Western University.
